In the Annual General Body Meeting of Judo Federation of India held on 4^th August 2013 at Hotel Classic, Imphal, Manipur, Mr. Mukesh Kumar has been unanimously elected as President, JFI. Mr. Jagdish Tytler, outgoing President, congratulated him on his election.

After his election Mr. Mukesh Kumar said that he will make his best efforts to develop Judo further and to get a medal for India, in the forth coming Asian Games and Olympics.

Mr. Man Mohan Jaiswal, of  Rajasthan has been elected as General Secretary and Mr. Yashbeer Singh of Uttarakhand, as Treasurer. 56 representatives from the member units attended the Annual General Body Meeting.

The election was conducted under the supervision of Retd. Justice Y.K. Sangal,, as Chairman, election commission, and Returning Officer for the election was Advocate Akshay Sahni. Mr. Subhash Basumatari, Officer from SAI attended the election meeting as Government Observer.
