Sub. : Inviting applications for Belt Gradation for the International Judokas

Dear sir/madam,

As per the recommendations of the JFI Committee members, I am directed by the Hon’ble Administrator JFI to inform you that JFI is inviting the applications from the eligible Judokas who have participated in the International Judo Events as per the attached format for their Belt Gradation.

The eligible Judokas must submit the Google Form with the below Link with all the required documents.

Those who have not obtained their gradation certificate till 1st April 2026, are not allowed to wear the Black Belt in any of the Judo Events with effect from 1st April 2026, failing which appropriate action will be taken by the JFI.

You are therefore requested to inform the Judokas those who have participated in the International Events for their necessary action.

Since there is no deadline for submitting the above application, the athletes who will be participating in the forthcoming events can also apply after their participation in the International event.

Application for Black Belt gradation for the Judokas who have participated in the International Judo Championships/Events:

Eligibility – Above 15 years - The Judokas who have participated in the World Championships/Asian Championships/Grand Slam/Grand Prix/ Continental Open/Asian-Youth Games/Asian Junior Judo Championships/World Junior Judo Championships/World University Games/World Police Games are only eligible to apply for this gradation.

Please make ready of the following documents for applying the Black Belt gradation:

A] Copy of the Certificate of Merit / Participation in the International event
B] Proof of the JFI Fee transfer of Rs.10,000/- ( Rupees Ten thousand only )
C] Copy of the Aadhar Card
E] Copy of the Passport
F] Passport Size Photograph ( in JPEG Format ) :

There is no deadline for applying the above gradation. JFI will verify the applications and will issue Black Belt gradation Certificates from time to time if approved.
